Start with a fresh notes folder, store it on github, gradually curate and add rest of notes.
merge draft2 into main notes. Clean and then commit to github account.
Automate redundant publishing notes to S3 hosting, and redundant backup to Dropbox.
use github to commit/store public notes?
In the End, notes redundantly duplicated in github, S3 and dropbox.

----------------------------------------- X2Go Clients: You have 3 clients. Which client should I use? If in doubt, pick the regular X2Go Client (x2goclient). It is the most widely used and tested. The regular X2Go Client (x2goclient) is optimized for thin client & single-session usage, but can be used on any desktop/laptop computer. PyHoca-GUi is optimized for users who want to connect to multiple sessions at once, and already know how to use X2Go. For example, a sysadmin administrating multiple servers. PyHoca-CLI is launched via command-line args; similar to vncviewer or rdesktop/xfreerdp. It is also suitable for connecting to multiple sessions at once. ------------------------------------------- Why Am I told to enable X11 forwarding with X2Go? I thought that X2Go uses nx-libs instead of X11 forwarding! The simple answer is that the OpenSSH server treats the connection differently (in such a way that degrades nx-libs performance) unless X11 forwarding is enabled. ================================================== What does "X11UseLocalhost no" do? I found that I can't ssh (with X11 port forwarding) from my home FC4/linux box to a bsd machine, run xclients on the bsd machine, and have them X display back to my home machine without specifying the "X11UseLocalhost no" option in the /etc/ssh/sshd_config file. I don't understand what the manpage says about this option. Can someone please explain? When doing X forwarding, sshd listens on a TCP socket for connections from X clients. Normally, it will accept connections addressed to the loopback address only (127.0.0.1), restricting it to clients on the local host. X11UseLocalhost no means it will accept connections from anywhere. X11Forwarding ------------- Make sure that: You've xauth installed on the server (see: xauth info/xauth list). On the server your /etc/ssh/sshd_config file have these lines: X11Forwarding yes X11DisplayOffset 10 X11UseLocalhost no On the client side your ~/.ssh/config file have these lines: Host * ForwardAgent yes ForwardX11 yes On the client side, you've X server installed (e.g. macOS: XQuartz; Windows: Xming). Then to do X11 forwarding using SSH, you need to add -X to your ssh command, e.g. ssh -v -X user@host then verify that your DISPLAY is not empty by: echo $DISPLAY If it is, then having verbose parameter for ssh (-v), check for any warnings, e.g. debug1: No xauth program. Warning: untrusted X11 forwarding setup failed: xauth key data not generated In case you've got untrusted X11 as shown above, then try -Y flag instead (if you trust the host): ssh -v -Y user@host See: What does “Warning: untrusted X11 forwarding setup failed: xauth key data not generated” mean when ssh'ing with -X? In case you've warning: No xauth data, you may try to generate a new .Xauthority file, e.g. xauth generate :0 . trusted xauth list See: Create/rebuild a new .Xauthority file If you've got a different warnings than above, follow the further clues.

Google Drive has become a vital part of our day to day life. As much as non-programmers use it, so do programmers in several situations, where we need not use git/github.
Drive-CLI is a command-line utility for google drive which helps you access, sync, download, upload, etc. directly to your drive without leaving the command-line. The best part being the commands are similar to git CLI so that you can easily remember them

15 How to convert tex to pdf ?
At the command line, first install the texlive package if it isn't already installed:
sudo apt-get install texlive
Then use the pdflatex utility to convert the file like this:
pdftex /path/to/myfile.tex
The path /path/to/myfile.tex is, of course, an example path. You would put the path to your own file on your system.
Notice that although the utility is called pdflatex you execute it with the command pdftex (without the la).
There are several settings that you can read about in the help for pdflatex:
pdflatex --help
The setting I use the most is the one to generate the pdf in a different directory:
pdflatex /path/to/myfile.tex --output-directory=../otherdir
The pdflatex utility is also interactive, so that if you forget to supply necessary information it will prompt you to enter it before converting the file.
15.1 what worked for me:
pdflatex worklog.tex
